The first step is to locate the Matrikon OPC folder in the Windows Start menu. Once found, identify the specific software you want to unlicense; for this example, we’ll use Matrikon OPC for GDA. Right-click on the software and select the "Open file location" option. This will take you directly to the folder containing the software files and related options.
Secondly, within the folder, locate the option **"MatrikonOPC License Remover for <ServerName>"** and run it as an administrator.
A confirmation panel will appear, asking if you are sure you want to remove the software license. If you agree, click the **"Yes"** button.
This will open another panel confirming that the license has been removed. It will also provide the path where the license file is stored:
**C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\MatrikonOPC\Common\LicenseRemover**.
Once you click **"OK"**, you will either be redirected to this folder automatically or can navigate to it manually.
You must send the generated file to **soporte@matrikon.es**, indicating your intention to remove the license.
The support team handling your ticket will process the license release, which typically takes 24 to 48 hours.
