6. OPC UA Server - Protocol not supported Error in atvise Connect

❗Problem

When attempting to activate or configure the OPC UA Server in atvise Connect, an error message appears:

Protocol not supported.
This may be using IPv6 on a system without IPv6 enabled, or a PLC which needs another protocol.

This issue typically occurs when the atvise Connect security certificates are corrupted.


✅Solution

  1. Close atvise Connect.
  2. Navigate to the following folder: C:\Users\Public\Documents\atvise
  3. Delete the following files (if present):
    • clientCert.pem
    • clientKey.pem
    • serverCert.pem
    • serverKey.pem
  4. Restart atvise Connect.
  5. Re-enable the OPC UA Server.

New certificates will be automatically generated upon restart.
