Step-by-Step Guide to Configuring Tunneller UA Proxy

The first thing we need to verify is that our OPC UA server is running correctly. To do this, you can use the Prosys OPC UA Simulation Server software, available at the following link:
https://prosysopc.com/products/opc-ua-simulation-server/

When you run it, you should see a window similar to the one below, which indicates that the server is operating normally:

After verifying this part, we can proceed to configure the Tunneller UAProxy. To do this, go to the Classic Client to UA Server tab in the Tunneller interface.

In this screen, you will find two fields where you need to enter the IP address and port number of your Prosys OPC UA server. In this example, the server is running locally, and we’ll use the port shown in the image above, which is 53530.

Expand the list where your UA server is located and double-click on its name so that the information loads into the fields below. In this section, you only need to add the security policies supported by the server. If the server does not use any security, you can leave the default settings.

Finally, just click the Create button located at the bottom right. If you don’t see it, scroll down using the scrollbar on the right side of the window.
You will be prompted to enter an administrator user. If the computer is part of a domain, the format should be: DOMAIN\USERNAME. Otherwise, use .\USERNAME.

After that, you should see the connection listed on the left panel, and its status should appear as Running.

At this point, you can test the connection using an OPC DA client, such as Matrikon OPC Explorer.
