The first step is to log in to vNode. Next, navigate to the Config option in the navigation menu, found under the System panel. This will open a new menu in the explorer panel, where you will find an option called "Links."
In the "Links" option, a configuration panel will open where you can name your vNode. If it is a remote vNode, you will need to create an outbound link to communicate with the central vNode. Click on the three dots and create a new outbound link. Ensure that the name of the outbound link matches the name of the central vNode you want to connect to.
After creating the outbound link and naming it, we need to configure it. First, set the "enabled" option to "yes." Then, enable the "publish" option to share the data from this remote vNode with the central vNode. Select the "full" model for publishing.
It is important to enable the "store and forward" option to protect your information against disconnections, ensuring that your data always reaches its destination.
Next, configure the network parameters. Enter the IP address where the central vNode is hosted and specify the port it uses. Finally, ensure that the system trusts the communication certificates.
After configuring the remote vNode, proceed to the central vNode to complete the link communication setup. Log in to the central vNode, navigate to the "Links" option, and configure an inbound link. Set the "enabled" option to "yes."
In the "Network Interface" option, choose the network interface through which the central vNode will communicate with the remote vNode. Ensure that the port number matches on both vNodes. Finally, change the "Trust all certificates" option to "yes."
Leave the "NON-specific nodes" option as default to allow vNode to perform automatic configuration.
With this setup, we have configured the links protocol. You can check the certificates in the "Links" area. Below, there is an option called "Certificates" where you can verify if they have been approved. If not, you can accept them manually.
Finally, if you go to the "Real-Time Data" section on the central vNode, you will see the data arriving from the remote vNode.
