How to Read Historical Data Using the OPC UA HA Protocol in vNode

Guide to Convert Historical Data from the Historian Module to OPC UA HA Using vNode's OPC UA Server Module


In this case, it is necessary to have the Historian module configured first. If you haven't configured it yet, you can follow this guide:

Once you have the Historian module set up, the next step is to configure the OPC UA Server module. Follow the steps detailed in this guide:

After configuring both modules, you can access the historical data from your OPC UA client. In this example, we will use UA Expert from Unified, which you can download from the following link:

Steps to Follow:

  1. Connect to the vNode OPC UA Server: If you need help with the connection, refer to the OPC UA Server configuration article.

  2. Access Historical Data: Once UA Expert is connected to the vNode OPC UA Server, locate the following icon to explore the available historical data.


We will select the document type as **History Trend View**.


After this, we will select the tags for which we want to view historical data. Simply drag and drop them into the blank box above the graph. Then, select the date range for the data you want and click the Update button to refresh and display the values.
