Matrikon Data Broke not showing tags while using the "Federation" option

In some cases we have noticed that if we are using the "federation" option, the connection status goes to "Good" for a while and in the short log we can see below we can see: "Matrikon DataBrokeris aggregating namespaces and types", After about 30 seconds, the status goes to Bad and the cycle restarts. If we go to the MDB OPC UA Server, we can see the connection, but the address space is empty.

OPC UA Explorer works perfectly and browses everything.

Description:

In federator data source configuration window, we have observed that even though data source connection status is Good, Configuration status is displaying as "Configuring : [-EstablishSession] : MatrikonDataBroker is Aggregating Namespace and type" and is timing out before completion. Ideally, once this operation is completed it will be display configuration status as "Connect and Pre-browsed".

Solution:

• After observing above behavior, we have updated timeouts as mentioned below :
  • Transport Layer Connect Timeout = 10 secs
  • Default Request Timeout = 120000 Msecs
  • Session Timeout = 120 secs
• Upon updating timeouts, MDB  federator is able to complete aggregating namespace & type and showing configuration status as Connected and Pre-browsed.
