Monitoring Your Tags with Alarms in vNode

To get started, make sure you have a tag already mapped in the system.

Next, go to the System panel, select the Config option, and open the configuration for the tag you want to use. Within the tag properties, you’ll find a section called Alarms and Events. Click on it to open and configure the alarms according to your requirements.

Click on the three dots to create a new alarm. You can assign a name that clearly reflects the alarm's purpose.

In this example, we'll create an alarm that notifies us when the tag value reaches its maximum limit—similar to a voltage or temperature threshold.

Within the configuration settings, you can add a description and choose the priority level for the alarm.

There are four available priority levels:

Critical

High

Medium

Low

Next, you need to select the Mode type, which determines how the alarm will behave based on changes in the tag value.

Finally, we need to select the Target, which is the maximum value allowed for the tag before the alarm is triggered.
In this example, we will use the "Greater than" condition and set the value to 80.

After that, save the tag configuration and go to the Real Time section to monitor the current value of the tag.

Currently, the value of my tag is 81, so the alarm should be triggered.
You can verify this by going to the Alarms section and then to Real Time, where you will see that the alarm is active.
