To start, first navigate to the system panel and select "Configuration" (config). In the "Modules" section, open the "Model" panel by clicking on it. Enter a name in the provided fields to create a new module. Finally, in the configuration panel, choose the module type called "LinkedTag".
After creating our module, we proceed to configure it by creating an agent. In this exercise, we will take data from Modbus and write it to a tag in an OPC DA server. It's crucial to verify that the destination tags allow both read and write operations. Within the agent configuration, we can specify the write interval and the number of retry attempts in case of disconnection.
We will set up a link where we define the input and output tags. Additionally, we will configure how to handle data with poor quality, opting to retain the last registered value in such cases.
It's important to clarify that both data points must have the "Client Access" option enabled for "Read/Write" to allow for correct writing. You can find this setting in the configurations of both tags.
