How to Create Users in vNode
Creating users in vNode is a straightforward process that allows you to manage system access efficiently. Follow these steps to create a user with administrator privileges.
Step 1: Access the User Configuration
Log into vNode and go to the Config option in the navigation panel.
In the Explorer panel, locate and select USER/GROUPS.
Step 2: Create a New User
Clicking on USER/GROUPS will open the Model panel, where you can manage system users and groups. vNode provides three user creation methods:
Local User: The user is stored within the vNode instance.
LDAP: The user is authenticated through a domain server.
Group: Allows assigning LDAP-authenticated users to groups with specific permissions.
In this case, we will create a local user with administrator privileges.
Step 3: Configure the New User
Select the Local User option.
Enter a custom username.
Set a strong password to protect the account. It is recommended to use a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters.
Step 4: Assign Roles and Permissions
To grant administrative permissions to the user:
Assign the Administrator role, which provides full access to vNode’s features.
Save the changes and confirm the configuration.
Step 5: Test the New User
Log out of vNode.
Log back in using the newly created user credentials to verify that everything works correctly.
