After installing Tunneller, you might notice that the service does not start, whether it's MatrikonOPC Tunneller CSC, SSC, or UA Wrapper for COM OPC Server. This is a common issue that occurs when the service attempts to log in with incorrect credentials. To resolve it, a service refresh is required.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
Open the Windows Services window.
Identify the service causing the error.
Right-click on the service and select Properties.
In the properties panel, navigate to the Log On tab.
Check the user configured to run the service. You have two options:
- Run with the local session account.
- Run with an administrator account.
If it's a domain user, select This Account and enter the domain and username in this format:DomainName\Username
, along with the corresponding password in both fields.
If it's a local user, follow these steps:
- Click on Browse.
- Select Advanced.
- Click Find Now to display a list of local users on your computer.
- Select the desired user, click OK, and apply the changes.
Once the changes are made, return to the Service Properties main screen, re-enter the password, and attempt to start the service. It should start successfully.
